Job Description This classification provides direct/indirect patient treatment. Participates in department continuing education and provides student training. Plans an Occupational Therapy program to meet specific goals for restoration of function. Assesses maximum abilities for adjustment to limitations in case of strength, coordination, range of motion, levels of independence in activities of daily living, emotional stability and behavioral changes. The Occupational Therapist works in Psychiatry, Burns, Trauma, and Rehabilitation. Responds to the unique needs of neonatal, pediatric, adolescent and geriatric patients as the need arises.
Minimum Qualifications This classification requires graduation from an American Occupational Therapy Association accredited academic program. Must have successfully completed the AOTA Registration Examination. Secondary to academic preparation must have demonstrated clinical skills documented in field work appraisals.
