Occupational Therapy Assistant

Part Time 40 hours or more 8a-4:30p Days GENERAL SUMMARY: Provides occupational therapy treatment to assigned patients under the direction of the Occupational Therapist in accordance with the agency policies and procedures and the physician care plan. Maintains timely communications with the supervising OT and others involved in the care of the patient. Participates as a member of a patient ?focused interdisciplinary care team.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapist Assistant program. At least 1 year clinical experience as a licensed OTA in an acute, rehab or skilled nursing setting. Must be able to read, write, and communicate with patients. Current OTA licensure in the State of Ohio. Current CPR certification. Valid Ohio Driver's license. Current auto insurance 100,000/300,000 coverage. Must be able to travel to patient's home. Must be able to climb stairs, pull, push and facilitate movement of the patient. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Must be able to transport laptop computer and/or necessary medical/patient equipment and supplies. Must have correctable vision. Must have correctable hearing to be able to hear normal conversations. Must be able to work in settings with infectious diseases. Must present a professional appearance at all times.
