It comprises three centers of excellence: Ireland Cancer Center, MacDonald Womens Hospital, and Rainbow Babies & Childrens Hospital; and The Center for Clinical Research, the largest medical research center in Ohio.Position Details: This clinician will work with members of the hospital Department of Pharmacy Services, hospital PICU physicians, nurses, and pharmacists, and members of the Pediatric Pharmacy and Therapeutics Subcommittee to examine and solve medication problems. Primary responsibilities will be to identify, evaluate, and assist in the management of medication-related problems in the PICU, provide drug information and decision support for members of the PICU team, and pharmacy and nursing staff education. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Pediatric Pharmacy and Therapeutics Subcommittee activities, Pediatric Pharmacist continuing education programs, and Pharmacy Student precepting. Position Requirements: Requirements for this position include a basic working knowledge of epidemiology and statistics and good oral and written communication skills. Educational Requirements: The candidate must have a Pharm.D. degree with a PGY-1 residency in pharmacy practice/pediatrics and PGY-2 residency or fellowship in pediatric intensive care. Equivalent experience post-Pharm.D. degree of two years or more in the care of pediatrics intensive care will be considered. License Requirements: Candidate must hold an active Ohio Pharmacist license or be eligible for an Ohio Pharmacist license.
